Offered here is a pair of Vintage 1940s PYREX Oval shape, Sapphire Ice-Blue-Tinted Glass, Flat-Rimmed, Utility Platters in very good gently-used condition. They are a WONDERFUL example of a "made to be used" collectible~highly sought after/most recognizable & POPULAR PYREX FLAMEWARE item. ALL surfaces are highly-glossy, shiny, & clean. There are no cracks, stains, hazing, significant rubs or scratches ... there are a few very small chips on 1 end of 1 pieces inner edge rim (see last photo), some fine scratches & rubs, visible glass inclusions, and some tiny air bubbles within the glass. The pieces are heavy & thick in gauge. They have a smooth oval form w/a flat rim which goes all the way around, narrowing along the length. The ends have a molded scroll design on the handle surfaces. Measurements: 12.75" x 8.5" maximum, to the outer edge; the rim is 1" wide at the ends, 5/8" wide at the narrowest point along the side; 9 3/8" x 6 1/8" along the base seat rim.
