New Year's Sale - The Ames Brothers Sing The Best In The Country - Surprise:£3 - Other
Wr saw "Mission Impossible: subtitles: episode 1" the other day, and apparently all screenings of that movie begin with Tom Cruise and some guy thinking people for seeing the movie in the theater, and honestly Movie Bullies are starting to make me wish theaters just closes, already. This continued insistence thst we fork over $30 to see a movie and another TWENTY-NINE DOLLARS for popcorn, soda, and a box of candy, smacks of desperation and flop sweat. There's probably a place for movie theaters in the entertainment world of the future (ie today) But to insist that moviegoers continue to experience films the exact same way they've done since 1903 is just dumb. What if instead of clinging to the past, filmmakers were to embrace new models of making money and entertaining people? They won't, though. The main reaction the entrenched powers have to new tech is to sue it into oblivion or just engage in illegal behavior to put it down, the way @apple did ebooks.
